This is post number 365. A full circle of obedience. A testimony that light still shines even when the lamp feels low. When I began posting Tony’s Soldiers of Light Sundays™ and the daily messages that followed, I didn’t have a plan—only a promise. God whispered, “If you speak what I give you, I’ll strengthen you for the journey.” What I didn’t know then was that obedience can be heavy. Purpose can ache.And even Soldiers of Light grow tired.

Sometimes your promotion comes after rejection. Sometimes your elevation happens in the very place where people tried to bury you. Sometimes God’s promotion bypasses all the people who overlooked you, doubted you, or even opposed you—and sets you in a position no one can explain except by saying, “Surely, the Lord did this.”

And who better to reflect on today than the Black women who have answered that call again and again, often without applause, often through resistance, and often at great cost. Whether through activism, intercession, leadership, motherhood, teaching, or healing—Black women have been answering destiny’s call long before the world recognized their power.
