This 9th day of Women’s History Month, I want to highlight a woman whose story perfectly illustrates the power of planting seeds that others later harvest. Her name is Mary Ellen Pleasant. If you have never heard her name before, you’re not alone. Yet historians often refer to her as “The Mother of Civil Rights in California.”

This 21st Day of Black History Month, we celebrate a groundbreaking Black superhero whose impact often goes under-discussed but whose legacy remains powerful: The Meteor Man Robert Townsend’s The Meteor Man wasn’t just a superhero movie. It was a cultural statement. It was imagination without corporate backing. It was community-centered heroism. It was Black excellence in a genre that rarely gave it space.

Clarity is the moment when Heaven whispers,“This is who you are. This is where you’re going. This is what I meant. This is why I allowed what I allowed.” And often… clarity comes after seasons that feel like confusion, contradiction, silence, or delay. You see, divine clarity does not arrive wrapped in comfort. It often arrives wrapped in the very moments we would’ve avoided.

There comes a point in every believer’s walk where the weight of life begins to press down on your shoulders. You’re still sowing… but you’re tired. You’re still believing… but you’re weary. You’re still serving… but your strength feels thin. You’re doing all the right things — praying, giving, loving, showing up — but if you’re honest, you’re sowing from a place of exhaustion. And here’s the truth: God sees you. God knows. And God cares.

She moves with the calm certainty of someone who has faced extinction more times than she can count. Her boots hit the metallic floor with deliberate weight. Her armor shifts—ancient Chozo alloys whispering with every controlled breath she takes. The hum of her Arm Cannon builds like a heartbeat finding its rhythm. Outside the ship, below her, the planet waits. Zebes. A graveyard of memories. A crucible of scars. A world that raised her, broke her, and forged her into a myth.
