It is about honoring men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service so that others could live in freedom. It is about remembering people who left home wearing a uniform and never returned the same way—or never returned at all. It is about recognizing that many of the freedoms we casually enjoy every day came with a cost paid by somebody else.

Today, on my mother Marjorie Reed’s birthday, I am reminded of how deeply God favored me by allowing her to be my mother. Not just because she gave birth to me. Not just because she raised me. But because she believed in me. She saw something in me early. She nurtured what was there. She paid attention to the things that made me come alive.

Across our nation, many are experiencing uncertainty — furloughs, layoffs, delays, political tension. It’s not just the economy that’s trembling; hearts are being tested. Yet Scripture reminds us that God’s economy never shuts down. When the world’s supply chains are disrupted, heaven’s supply line remains open. This is post number 365. A full circle of obedience. A testimony that light still shines even when the lamp feels low. When I began posting Tony’s Soldiers of Light Sundays™ and the daily messages that followed, I didn’t have a plan—only a promise. God whispered, “If you speak what I give you, I’ll strengthen you for the journey.” What I didn’t know then was that obedience can be heavy. Purpose can ache.And even Soldiers of Light grow tired.
