Favor Fridays with Tony: The Favor of Her – Honoring My Wife, My Love, My Forever Friend

ree

Today is no ordinary Friday. It’s May 16, 2025, and it’s the birthday of the woman who changed my life. This special edition of Favor Fridays with Tony is not just a tribute—it’s a celebration of favor in human form. Her name is Tajuana, and through her, God has blessed me with love, grace, strength, friendship, and companionship.

There’s something extraordinary about the kind of favor that shows up and stays. That walks with you through your most uncertain moments and celebrates with you when the light breaks through. Tajuana has been that for me and more. Today, I honor her with a love letter of thanksgiving—a celebration of all the ways she has blessed my life and revealed God's favor through her love and presence.

The Favor of Love – When God Sends You Someone Who Sees You

When God sends someone who truly sees you—not just your strengths, but your flaws and fears—and chooses to love you anyway, that’s favor. When someone not only believes in your dreams but helps you birth them into reality with faith, encouragement, and partnership, that’s favor. When someone prays over you, lifts you up when you fall, and reminds you of who you are in God, that’s favor.

Tajuana, you are that favor. You are that love.

Proverbs 18:22 (MSG) says: “Find a good spouse, you find a good life—and even more: the favor of God!”

I didn’t just find a good spouse. I found an answered prayer. A best friend. A helpmate. A covering. A companion who reflects God’s love in the way she listens, the way she laughs, the way she leads, and the way she loves.

The Favor of Being Known – When Someone Loves the Real You

To be known is to be understood in your silences, heard in your struggles, and seen in the areas you rarely expose. There’s a kind of safety in that kind of love that no applause, achievement, or platform can provide. It’s the feeling of home.

1 Corinthians 13:12 (MSG) says: “We don’t yet see things clearly... But it won’t be long before the weather clears... We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us.”

That’s what your love reflects, Tajuana—it’s clear, honest, and consistent. I don’t have to be perfect to be loved by you. I just have to be me. And that has healed things in me I didn’t know were still hurting.

You celebrate the public victories, but more importantly—you hold space for the private battles. You know the real me—and you still choose me.

That kind of love is rare. It’s holy. It’s favor.

The Favor of a Strong Woman – God’s Gift of Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty

There is a special kind of favor wrapped in the presence of a strong woman. A woman whose wisdom doesn't shout but shapes, whose strength doesn't dominate but defends, and whose beauty radiates from the inside out.

Psalm 46:5 (NIV) says: “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”

That verse speaks of you, Tajuana. Your foundation is rooted in God, and because of that, you move with quiet authority. You are unshakeable not because life has been easy, but because you walk with the One who holds you steady.

Your wisdom has covered our household. Your prayers have guarded my purpose. Your discernment has redirected me at crucial crossroads. And your love has grounded me when I’ve been at my most uncertain.

Strong women don’t just endure—they elevate. They lift those around them, challenge them to grow, and love them into becoming their best selves.

The Favor of Lifelong Companionship – When God Gives You a Forever Friend

Some of the greatest blessings God gives us are not just lovers or spouses, but forever friends. True companionship is about more than romance—it’s about deep connection. It’s laughter in the mundane, strength in the storm, shared dreams, and sacred silence.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (MSG) says: “It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps.”

Tajuana, you are the companion my soul longed for, and the partner my heart didn’t know it could hope for. You walk beside me—not behind me, not ahead of me—and in your companionship,

I’ve seen God’s gentle, patient favor.

You are someone I can grow old with, laugh long with, and do kingdom work beside. That kind of bond doesn’t fade. It matures. It deepens. It becomes legacy.

Final Word: The Favor of Her

You are elegance in motion. You are grace in full bloom. You are wisdom in action. You are the answer to prayers I didn’t even know how to pray.

Happy Birthday, Tajuana.

Thank you for being the favor I get to walk with, grow with, dream with, and love every day.

I will never stop thanking God for the favor of you.
