Reed's Reads of Wisdom Wednesdays™: Do Great Things: When Heaven Still Believes in You

There are few moments more powerful in Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™ than when Kris and Kandace Edwards stand in the middle of devastation, supernatural chaos, and a collapsing future—and still look through it all to declare the truth about their son Kevin:

"Our son is no Demon Master. Our son is a hero."

Not was. Not might be. Not could be. IS.

Let that sink in.

That moment is more than emotional support for their child. It’s not denial. It’s not wishful thinking. It is a spiritual act of warfare and faith. When darkness says, "I know who your child is," heaven rises up and says, "No, you don’t."

Their words are not rooted in delusion—they're rooted in divine identity.

✨ Heaven Is Still Rooting for You

The enemy (in the form of the Demon Maestro) claims that Kevin—a boy anointed, transformed, and called by God—will one day become a monster. He paints a portrait of an inevitable future: a demonic timeline where power corrupts, where hope dies, and where love fades.

But Kandace and Kris stand on what they know about their son.

And God.

They say it out loud. They refute the prophecy. They declare what they raised him to be. And they remind him that who he is now matters more than any potential deviation from his destiny.

When God says you are chosen, He does not cancel that word just because circumstances get complicated.

When Heaven marks you, Hell can only hope you forget.

🌐 Parental Faith vs. Prophetic Fear

Let’s talk real for a moment.

There are parents, mentors, and even spiritual leaders who have stared at loved ones and believed the worst.

They've accepted dark predictions. They've spoken words like:

• "He'll never be anything."

• "She always ends up a mess."

• "I don't know what's wrong with them."

But not Kris and Kandace.

Even when presented with a demonic alternate future, they don’t cower. They stand firm.

That’s what godly parents do: speak life over the child the world is trying to bury in fear.

Even if your loved one is off-course, the authority of your declarations, your faith, and your prayers can reroute destiny.

Kris and Kandace could’ve said, "It’s too late." But instead they said, "He’s still our son. He’s still good. And he is still chosen to do great things."

🌿 When the Enemy Hands You a Story...

The Demon Maestro had a script:

• Kevin will become a demon master.

• Angeline will be his captive.

• The world will suffer.

But Kris didn’t read from that script. He flipped the narrative and said something heaven had already spoken: Kevin will do great things.

It reminds us of Joseph, when his brothers thought they were destroying him, but God used their betrayal to raise up a leader who would save millions.

It reminds us of Jesus, when Satan tempted Him in the wilderness, trying to hijack His mission with false power.

The enemy is always handing you a false script—you must decide whether to accept it or shred it.

📖 Scripture Tie-In

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

The Demon Maestro believed the future was locked in darkness. But God says otherwise.

He says hope is still alive.

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

Kris and Kandace's words of life didn’t just echo through the air—they shifted the atmosphere.

Their declaration wasn’t just parental pride. It was prophetic protection.

🥇 Real-Life Application: Speaking Life into Your Loved Ones

Maybe you’ve got a son, a daughter, a cousin, or a mentee who’s battling darkness.

They might be facing addiction. They might be distant. They might be caught up in lies that say they are nothing more than their mistakes.

Don’t give the devil the last word.

You have the authority to:

• Speak identity over them.

• Pray boldly and persistently.

• Declare the destiny God wrote before time began.

Even if they can't hear you yet. Even if they don’t want to hear it.

Say it anyway:

"You are chosen. You are loved. You were made to do great things."

✨ Deep Symbolism: Fighting with Faith

Kevin is literally under fire. The city is crumbling. Demons are invading. And yet...

Kris and Kandace don’t armor up with swords.

They armor up with words.

They speak what they know to be true.

This is symbolic of our role in spiritual battles.

When everything is falling apart, you fight by saying:

"My child is not what this world says they are. They belong to God."

"My spouse will not be consumed by this addiction. They were created to live free."

"I may be struggling, but I’m not stuck. My purpose is still intact."

That’s how you do great things.

Not by might. Not by force. But by faith.

✉️ Declarations

Repeat these out loud this week:

• I speak life, not death, over my loved ones.

• God has plans for those I love—plans to prosper them, not harm them.

• I will not agree with the enemy’s predictions. I stand on God’s promises.

• The future is not written by fear. It is anchored in faith.

• Even if it looks hopeless, Heaven still believes.

• I will do great things because God placed greatness inside me.

• My words are weapons of righteousness.

💖 Encouragement for the Week

The Demon Maestro thought he had the final word. He thought his dark version of the future would become the truth.

But one set of parents with faith said otherwise.

This week, I challenge you to be like Kris and Kandace.

Speak it, pray it, believe it, and watch the atmosphere shift.

Even if everything looks dark... Even if there’s fire, collapse, and chaos... Even if the enemy shows you a timeline filled with failure...

Believe what Heaven says.

Because Heaven still believes in you.

And Heaven still believes in those you love.
