Tony's Soldiers of Light Sundays: The Oil Is Still Flowing — How God Multiplies What’s Surrendered

Have you ever looked at what you have and thought, “This just isn’t enough?”

Not enough money. Not enough strength. Not enough time, peace, patience, or purpose.

But God specializes in doing the miraculous with what seems insufficient. He doesn’t ask us for what we don’t have. He asks us to trust Him with what we do.

In 2 Kings 4:1–7, we meet a widow whose husband served the Lord, but died in debt. The creditors were coming to take her two sons. She had nothing… or so she thought.

Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?”

She replied, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

Just a little oil.

Elisha told her to borrow empty vessels—not just a few—and begin pouring. And as long as she had vessels, the oil kept flowing.

What started as not enough became more than enough. What was nearly empty became the source of overflow. And all of it started with a simple act of surrender.

God Multiplies What’s Poured, Not What’s Hidden

This widow’s miracle wasn’t in her inventory—it was in her obedience. She didn’t wait until she had more. She took what she had, followed the Word, and poured.

That’s what God is calling us to do:

  • Pour when it’s uncomfortable.

  • Pour when it doesn’t make sense.

  • Pour when it feels like the last drop.

Because He is the Source. We are just the vessel.

The oil represents more than money or provision. It symbolizes anointing, faith, obedience, endurance, and purpose. And as long as we remain available, the oil will keep flowing.

Your oil may not look like much to others. But it’s not about what you pour—it’s about who is pouring through you.

The Problem Isn’t Lack — It’s Closure

Notice that the oil stopped only when there were no more vessels.

Sometimes our blessing dries up not because God isn’t faithful, but because we stop making room for Him to move.

  • Are our hearts open?

  • Are our hands open?

  • Are we positioned to receive?

God can only fill what we’re willing to empty. He can only multiply what we’re willing to surrender.

We don’t need more talent. We need more surrender. We don’t need a bigger platform. We need a deeper “yes.”

This is about capacity. If you want overflow, make space.

In S.O.L.A.D.™: Soldiers of Light Against Darkness™

In the S.O.L.A.D.™ universe, the oil represents more than strength—it represents supernatural empowerment to keep going when everything says quit.

  • Juanita (Angeline) pours wisdom, vision, and intercession even when spiritually drained.

  • Kevin (Angelo) gives leadership, sacrifice, and strength, trusting that his obedience keeps the mission moving.

  • Jesheena continues to pour encouragement and strategic insight in the face of chaos.

  • Melanie fights through pain, misunderstanding, and pressure—but still shows up, still pours.

  • Wiseman J and Jeff offer clarity, counsel, and covering—men of God who don’t hold back their gifts.

And in the background are generations of elders, like Kandace Edwards and Kevin’s grandmother, who poured out prayer, teaching, and stability when no one else saw it. Because of their faithfulness, we still have oil today.

Every miracle in S.O.L.A.D.™ doesn’t begin with power—it begins with surrender. It’s not just about fighting darkness—it’s about being filled enough to shine in it.

The Oil in Your Life Today

God is not looking for perfection—He’s looking for availability.

You may only have a little energy. A little money. A little peace. A small audience. A quiet voice.

But in God’s hands, little becomes legacy.

Don’t underestimate the jar in your house. Don’t overlook the oil in your hand. Don’t dismiss the power of your yes.

Stop comparing your jar to someone else’s. Start pouring. God is ready to show you that what seems like lack is the setup for a miracle.

More Light from the Word

Here are scriptures to encourage and remind you that God can do so much with what you surrender:

Luke 6:38 (NKJV): "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom."

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV): "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

Proverbs 3:9–10 (NKJV): "Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV): "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."

Psalm 23:5 (NKJV): "You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over."

Quotes to Stir Your Faith

“God doesn’t ask for what you don’t have. He blesses what you’re willing to give.”

“Your obedience is the oil that keeps the miracle moving.”

“Faith isn’t about having a full jar. It’s about pouring anyway.”

“God isn’t limited by your lack—He’s empowered by your surrender.”

Final Encouragement: Keep Pouring

  • Keep pouring when it’s thankless.

  • Keep pouring when you’re tired.

  • Keep pouring when you want to quit.

  • Keep pouring into your family.

  • Keep pouring into the assignment.

  • Keep pouring into people who don’t see the value yet.

  • Keep pouring even when it feels like no one is watching.

Because if you pour it… He’ll multiply it.

The oil is still flowing.

Your faithfulness today sets the stage for overflow tomorrow. Your yes today may be the answer to someone’s breakthrough later. Just keep pouring.

Stay surrendered. Stay obedient. Stay expectant.

Your miracle isn’t in what you wish you had. It’s in what you’re willing to pour.
