On the eve of my 44th birthday, I am reminded that purpose is still calling. There are still words to write. There are still stories to tell. There are still people to encourage. There are still prayers to pray. There are still books to publish. There are still dreams to pursue. There are still platforms to build. There are still lives to impact.

There is a divine tension that every believer must come to terms with sooner or later: the call of God often arrives before you feel ready to answer it. It is not delivered on the tail end of a degree, a promotion, or some perfected version of yourself. It comes in the middle of your doubts, your questions, your hidden insecurities, and in Kevin and Juanita's case, their teenage years.
