He sees the prayer you prayed in private. He sees the tears you wiped before you went back to serving. He sees the kind word you gave someone when you were hurting yourself. He sees the sacrifice you made that nobody else understood. He sees the moments when you chose obedience over attention, humility over recognition and purpose over performance.

Waiting on God includes prayer, preparation, faith and a willingness to move when He says move. Hiding from responsibility keeps finding reasons why now is not the right time. It keeps studying the problem without ever acting on the solution. It keeps asking for confirmation after God has already spoken clearly.

On the eve of my 18th wedding anniversary with my wife, Tajuana, I find myself grateful. Not casually grateful, but deeply grateful. Grateful for love. Grateful for friendship. Grateful for covenant. Grateful for the journey. Grateful for the laughter, the lessons, the growth and even the challenges that taught us how to keep choosing each other.

Most of us don’t actually need more time—we need more discipline with the time we already have. Because the truth is, we’ve been given the same 24 hours as everyone else. The difference isn’t time allocation from God—it’s time management from us. And if we’re not careful, we’ll spend years asking God for something He has already provided.

Obedience is easy when the path is visible. It’s natural when results are guaranteed. But when the Commander gives orders that defy logic — “Go where you’ve never been.” “Speak when you don’t know how it will be received.” “Step forward when you can’t see the ground beneath your feet.” — that’s when faith graduates from theory to warfare. Obedience in uncertainty separates the enlisted from the devoted.

Whether it’s a creative vision, a business, a ministry, a relationship, or a healing journey, nothing grows without care, consistency, and commitment. And in a world that applauds overnight success, we sometimes forget that real growth takes time—and it requires us to show up day after day, even when we don’t see immediate results.
