Reed's Reads of Wisdom Wednesdays™: Go With God: A Charge, Not a Farewell

ree

When God Says Go, He Means Move in Purpose

Too often, we treat “Go with God” as a gentle goodbye. A sweet blessing. A kind gesture.

But in this context—and throughout Scripture—“Go” is not a dismissal. It is a divine directive.

Genesis 12:1: "The Lord had said to Abram, 'Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.'"

Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Exodus 3:10: "So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

In every case, God sends people with purpose. Kevin and Juanita were not being dismissed—they were being recommissioned. Their work was not finished. It was transitioning.

Let this remind us: when God closes one chapter, it’s because another one is beginning.

Don’t Lay Down the Ring

Juanita tries to take off her ring. Kevin wonders if he should return his too. But they can’t.

The rings won’t come off.

Why? Because purpose doesn’t end when the major battle ends. In fact, it may be just beginning.

Too many believers think the mountaintop victory is the end of their spiritual career. But purpose isn’t seasonal.

“The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29

Your calling isn’t just for the fiery trial. It’s for what comes after, too. The rebuilding. The mentoring. The next generation. The next mission.

Sometimes God won’t let the ring come off because He knows the world still needs what you carry.

A Portal of Passage, Not an Exit

When Kevin and Juanita are lifted into the portal that will return them to their world, it isn’t portrayed as a return to normal life. It is a spiritual passage—a graduation into the next phase.

And passages are biblical.

Moses crossed the Red Sea into deliverance. Joshua crossed the Jordan River into promise. Elijah crossed the Jordan before being taken into heaven. Jesus passed through death into resurrection.

Every passage is a promotion—not a retreat.

What looks like “leaving” is often God’s way of reassigning.

Kevin and Juanita aren’t going back to smallness. They’re going with God into greater purpose. Wiseman J knew this. He saw that their ring-bearing mission wasn’t finished—it was expanding.

What Did They Leave Behind?

Let’s not forget what Kevin and Juanita just endured:

  • They helped destroy over 40,000 demons.

  • They saw spiritual darkness pushed back and the blue skies of freedom return.

  • They trained with powerful allies.

  • They carried the burden of leadership, responsibility, and supernatural warfare.

And yet, they remained humble.

Juanita even jokes: “Oh, our hero days are over.”

But heroes don’t retire. They evolve.

The Work Continues After the War

Too often, we think spiritual warfare ends when the big bad is defeated. But Kevin and Juanita stayed behind for three weeks, helping rebuild the city, encouraging people, and eradicating leftover demonic strongholds.

“It’s been reassuring having it like that, especially while spending the last three weeks rebuilding the village and hunting down the remaining few demons.”

Don’t underestimate the work of restoration.

After Nehemiah’s wall was finished, he still had to set up guards, organize worship, and confront corruption. After Jesus rose from the dead, He spent 40 days equipping the disciples.

The war may be over, but the healing has just begun.

✨ DECLARATIONS FOR THE CHARGED

Say this aloud:

  • I do not lay down the ring God gave me.

  • I walk through passages into greater purpose.

  • My calling continues beyond the battle.

  • I will not misread transitions as endings.

  • I go with God—and that means I go with power.

The Gift That Sticks

The Rings of Wisdom couldn’t be removed. And neither can the gifts and purposes that God places on your life.

“For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.” — Romans 11:29 (KJV)

Even if you try to walk away, heaven will nudge you back.

Like Paul, who tried to avoid his calling. Like Jonah, who ran from Nineveh. Like Moses, who said “send someone else.”

God’s response?

“No. You’re still chosen. Now GO.”

The Witness of a Clear Sky

Kevin begins the chapter by marveling at a clear blue sky—a symbol of peace returning.

“It’s amazing to see a clear blue sky here,” Kevin said.

The sky changed because they stood their ground. It cleared because of their obedience. And it stayed clear because they stayed longer than they had to.

God doesn’t just want us to fight evil. He wants us to establish peace in the aftermath.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

New Battles Await

Juanita and Kevin may be heading home, but as Wiseman J says:

"Your mission is far from over. Go with God, Kevin and Juanita, and you will always save the day!”

That’s a prophecy. A promise. A personal commission.

You might feel like you're leaving one season, but God sees it as a re-ignition.

Your gifts haven’t expired. Your fight isn’t finished. Your destiny didn’t end when the portal opened.

You're being sent again.

Go. With God.

And you will always save the day.
