Every great team needs more than power. Power can win battles. Strategy can change outcomes. Weapons can defeat enemies. Speed can get heroes to the scene in time.
But heart is what gives a team its soul. That is why Melanie is such an important character in Book I of S.O.L.A.D.™: Soldiers of Light Against Darkness™: The Angelo™ & Angeline™ Chronicles. She may not enter the story with the same powers as Angelo™ and Angeline™. She may not have glowing rings, super-speed, flight or the ability to heal the way they do.
