But every response is not wisdom. Some conversations are traps. Some arguments are distractions. Some accusations are bait. Some people are not looking for truth. That is why healing requires honesty. You cannot heal what you keep hiding. You cannot surrender what you keep pretending is not there. You cannot let God restore a place in your heart you refuse to acknowledge is wounded. Darkness often survives in secrecy because secrecy keeps pain isolated, shame protected and broken places untouched.

Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (NKJV). That Scripture is sobering because it reminds us that deception does not always look dangerous at first. Some paths seem right. Some doors seem promising. Some choices seem logical, flattering, profitable or overdue. But something can seem right and still be wrong for your soul.
