We salute the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, and spiritual mothers who kept the flame of faith burning when the winds of life blew hard. Whether she stood behind a pulpit or at a kitchen sink, whether she marched in protests or whispered prayers over cribs and cracked doors, she carried the light. And that light—Christ’s light—shined through her words, her touch, her discipline, her wisdom, and her sacrifices.

Two Sundays ago, we stood at the empty tomb and rejoiced in the risen Savior. We shouted “He is risen!” and clung to the hope that came bursting forth from that garden grave. But what now? What happens in the days after the resurrection? What does it mean to live as resurrected people in a still-wounded, still-weary world? Today, on the 27th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we lift our voices in celebration and recognition of the divine courage woven into the lives of Black women. Their stories are not just tales of survival—they are testimonies of purpose, power, and perseverance.

On this Resurrection Sunday, as we celebrate the risen Savior, we also pause to reflect on the rising of His daughters, particularly the bold, faithful, and resilient Black women who carry resurrection power in their spirits every day.

On this 13th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we honor a divine truth: when a Black woman walks in the boldness of Christ, she becomes unstoppable.

For far too long, the image of the Black woman has been distorted, dismissed, or diminished.

Countless women have been disregarded, dismissed, and disrespected by the world—yet chosen, cherished, and commissioned by God.

Women of faith have always been at the forefront of change, walking boldly in God’s calling, even when faced with great challenges.

Today I am recognizing the invaluable contributions of women throughout history. Women have been pillars of strength, resilience, and faith.

Women have played a profound role in shaping faith, leading communities, and standing as pillars of strength and wisdom.

Black women of faith have been the backbone of progress, justice, and spiritual endurance.

Throughout history, Black Americans have been shining lights, illuminating paths of justice, faith, and strength in the face of oppression.

As we honor the past, we also acknowledge how faith and resilience continue to guide us forward in our personal and collective journeys.

As we enter the second day of Black History Month, we take a moment to reflect on the powerful intersection of faith, resilience, and legacy

Love is a divine gift, a reflection of God’s unending love for us.

Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. It is more than just belief; it is trust in action, the confident assurance in God.

As believers, we are called not just to endure but to find victory, even in the midst of these battles.

As we step into a new year, filled with new hopes, challenges, and opportunities, believers are called to press on with unwavering faith.
