Reed's Reads of Wisdom Wednesdays: Chapter 15: “Last Ditch Efforts” – Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™ & Celebrating My 200th Official Tony Post

Today marks a powerful moment in my journey. It is the 23rd day of International Black Women’s History Month, and it is also my 200th official Tony Post. That’s right—200 posts of faith, fire, and unwavering purpose.

Over these 200 entries, I’ve poured out pieces of my heart, told the stories God gave me, and used my platform to shine a light on spiritual truth and the undeniable strength of Black women. With today’s post, I go even deeper.

In Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™, Chapter 15 is titled “Last Ditch Efforts.” It’s that moment in the fight where it would be easy to walk away, to collapse, to call it quits—but instead, you dig in. You push harder. You believe anyway.

This post is for every woman who’s had to stand when it felt like everything around her was falling apart. This is for every last line of defense who became the breakthrough.

Chapter 15 Recap: A Tipping Point in the Battle

In Chapter 15, the Soldiers of Light Against Darknes™ are pushed to their limits. The battle has intensified. The enemy’s attacks are relentless. Angelo, Angeline and the team are tired. But they don’t give up.

This isn’t a chapter about victory without struggle. This is about fighting when you’re weary. It’s about staying faithful when you don’t have clarity. It’s about holding the line when hell is at your heels.

They keep going—not because they have it all together, but because they know the assignment. And that resonated so deeply with me.

I know what it feels like to fight tired. To write through heartbreak. To stay committed when life is swirling. That’s what “Last Ditch Efforts” is all about.

When You’ve Given Everything But Must Keep Going

I’ve lived this chapter. So many of us have.

When everything says stop, but your spirit says push. When the odds are stacked and the burden is heavy, but you still show up. Still pray. Still write. Still hope.

That’s not weakness—that’s warfare.

And Black women have embodied this resilience for generations. Last ditch efforts? Those are often first acts of faith for the women I’ve seen and written about. From mothers praying over their kids to sisters building from scratch—they keep rising.

The Legacy of Black Women Who Keep Fighting

Harriet Tubman didn’t stop after one trip. She kept going. Last ditch efforts became her rhythm.

Rosa Parks wasn’t just a woman on a bus. She was a quiet force—holding her ground long before that moment made history.

Women like bell hooks (punctuated exactly how she wanted it, look it up), Fannie Lou Hamer, and Maya Angelou—each used words as weapons. They didn’t just resist. They built. They healed. They stayed in the fight.

And I’ve been blessed to know women like this personally—mothers, mentors, ministers, my wife,—who taught me how to fight and how to finish.

Why Post 200 Matters to Me

This isn’t just a number. This is proof. Proof that I’m still called. Proof that the words haven’t run dry. Proof that obedience outlasts opposition.

I’ve had days I didn’t want to write. I’ve battled fatigue, fear, distractions, doubt. And yet… here we are.

Two hundred posts in. Still faithful. Still lit with purpose. Still believing that God’s not finished.

When the Enemy Sends His Best Shot

In Chapter 15, the pressure is real. The enemy is bold. But the team stands.

And I think about all the ways the enemy tries to derail us when we’re close to breakthrough. He whispers lies. He attacks our confidence. He stirs confusion. But what he can’t do is cancel God’s plan.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, let me remind you: this is often when clarity comes. This is when heaven responds.

You’re not being buried—you’re being planted.

For the Woman Who’s Running on Empty

Sis, I see you. I know you’ve been praying while pacing. Fighting for your kids. Fighting for your peace. Trying to be everything when you feel like nothing.

You’ve got one more push in you. Not because you’re superhuman, but because God is your source.

📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

This isn’t your end. This is your edge. And God meets you right there.

What Chapter 15 Reminds Me to Do

  • Stand even when shaken.

  • Pray even when exhausted.

  • Finish even if I’m crawling.

  • Write even when it feels invisible.

I’m not perfect. But I’m present. I’m not invincible. But I’m anointed. I may bend. But I don’t break.

And if that’s your story too—then you’re already winning.

Affirmation for Today

“I may be in my last ditch effort, but I’m not alone. God is in the trenches with me. What I’m building will outlive this battle. I will stand. I will rise. I will finish this fight.”

A Toast to Post 200 🥂

To you—for reading. To me—for still believing. To God—for being the source of every sentence.

Two hundred posts later and I still have more to say.

I’m grateful. I’m focused. I’m ready for the next 200.

To Every Black Woman Making a Last Ditch Effort Today

You’re not crazy. You’re not weak. You’re not alone.

What you’re building matters. Your faith matters. Your presence matters.

Keep praying. Keep pressing. Keep showing up.

Because God is about to show out.
