Bound by demonic manipulation, overwhelmed by a spiritual ambush, and tormented by fear, Angelo found himself staring into a version of his future that wasn’t his own. One rooted not in promise, but in a lie.

Today on Favor Fridays with Tony™, I want to invite you into a deeper understanding of something that governs not only the world around us, but the spiritual atmosphere we live in: seasons. We often talk about favor in terms of blessings, breakthroughs, and opportunities. But beyond the popcorn and nostalgia, I want to talk about something deeper—the favor of living in the time of superheroes. Not just in film or comic books, but in culture, community, and Christ. Let’s dive into what it means to grow up in a generation shaped by capes and courage—and how it’s prepared us to live with compassion, strength, and boldness.

But few have the grit, attitude, and wild-card energy of Guy Gardner — the brash, bowl-cut, red-headed warrior who’s been a Green Lantern, a Red Lantern, and a walking contradiction in the DC Universe. But if your story’s conflict is going to be rich and memorable, your antagonist must be more than just a villain. They must be a person. A soul. A shadow of truth. And that means showing not just their strengths—but their vulnerabilities.

And who better to reflect on today than the Black women who have answered that call again and again, often without applause, often through resistance, and often at great cost. Whether through activism, intercession, leadership, motherhood, teaching, or healing—Black women have been answering destiny’s call long before the world recognized their power.

Today marks a powerful moment in my journey. It is the 23rd day of International Black Women’s History Month, and it is also my 200th official Tony Post. That’s right—200 posts of faith, fire, and unwavering purpose. Over these 200 entries, I’ve poured out pieces of my heart, told the stories God gave me, and used my platform to shine a light on spiritual truth and the undeniable strength of Black women. With today’s post, I go even deeper.

Today’s theme is a quiet storm of truth: Momentum matters. Writing is a journey of bursts and blocks, of flow and friction. But in the in-between, in the small daily steps—momentum keeps you moving forward.

On the 16th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we don’t just honor strength, resilience, or success—we confront what threatens to destroy it.

Today’s message is one that every writer—especially those walking in faith, purpose, and creative fire—needs tattooed on their heart: Rejection is not the end. It’s divine redirection.

Words can uplift, but they can also wound. They can liberate, or they can imprison. They can heal, or they can destroy.

We honor the unseen, the divine, and the intercessors—the Black women who carry light into dark places, who show up just when we need them.
