Some battles are fought with fists, others with fire. But the most haunting are the ones waged in the mind. In Chapter 7 of Book I of S.O.L.A.D.™, titled "Memories of the Living Dead," Melanie faces one of the most unsettling forms of spiritual warfare: a direct assault on both her body and mind. The demonic villain Plague attacks with sickness and distortion, overwhelming Melanie physically with fever and emotionally with the shocking reappearance of her family.

This moment isn't just suspenseful storytelling—it's a mirror for our own spiritual journeys. Sometimes God sends us into situations that look dangerous on the outside but are divine appointments in disguise. That tension between fear and faith is where obedience is tested and purpose is revealed. Sometimes God calls us to go into situations where it makes no sense to the human mind. But He isn’t asking us to make sense—He’s asking us to make moves.

In Chapter 4 of Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™, titled “Angelic Rescues,” the demon army invades Memphis, bringing the battle directly to the home turf of Kevin and Juanita—known by their superhero identities, Angelo™ and Angeline™. This wasn’t just a battle. This was a full-on rescue mission—physical, spiritual, and deeply personal.

Have you ever felt unprepared when life’s battles hit? Kevin and Juanita, even after their transformation into Soldiers of Light, didn’t get a moment’s rest before being thrust into battles that would test everything they believed. And that’s the lesson: it’s not the fight that makes you ready—it’s the training that prepares you to win.

There was no lightning bolt. No magic word.No ancient relic passed down from a long-lost ancestor. Just two teenagers. Kevin Edwards and Juanita Grayson stood in a supernatural battlefield in Book I of S.O.L.A.D.™; Soldiers of Light Against Darkness™, staring down demonic soldiers, outnumbered and outmatched—or so it seemed. But the truth? They were already equipped.

One of the greatest lies we tell ourselves is: I’ll do what God called me to do when I’m finally in a better place. When I’m not struggling financially… When I’m emotionally healed… When I’m not depressed, anxious, or unsure… But Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™ puts that myth to rest. God uses Angelo while he's speared through, while he’s bleeding, while the Demon Master whispers in his ear to give up. And isn’t that just like God?

With those chilling words, readers are thrust into the storm of Chapter 2 from S.O.L.A.D.™ Book II: The Angelo & Angeline Chronicles. It’s not just the beginning of a new story—it’s the beginning of a spiritual, emotional, and physical war for the soul of Memphis and beyond. The skies are cracking with lightning. Dragons fly. Demons march. And yet, in the middle of it all, a group of imperfect heroes chooses to stand firm on faith—even when the ground beneath them trembles.

There are chapters in fiction that read like prophecy. Moments in novels that bleed into reality so vividly that the line between imagination and truth disappears. Chapter 10 of Book II of S.O.L.A.D.™ is one of those chapters. Titled “A Score to Settle,” it finds our heroes Angelo and Angeline pressed to the limit, their city in chaos, their enemies multiplying, and every ounce of light within them challenged by the encroaching darkness.

And who better to reflect on today than the Black women who have answered that call again and again, often without applause, often through resistance, and often at great cost. Whether through activism, intercession, leadership, motherhood, teaching, or healing—Black women have been answering destiny’s call long before the world recognized their power.

Today marks a powerful moment in my journey. It is the 23rd day of International Black Women’s History Month, and it is also my 200th official Tony Post. That’s right—200 posts of faith, fire, and unwavering purpose. Over these 200 entries, I’ve poured out pieces of my heart, told the stories God gave me, and used my platform to shine a light on spiritual truth and the undeniable strength of Black women. With today’s post, I go even deeper.

On the 16th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we don’t just honor strength, resilience, or success—we confront what threatens to destroy it.

Words can uplift, but they can also wound. They can liberate, or they can imprison. They can heal, or they can destroy.

We honor the unseen, the divine, and the intercessors—the Black women who carry light into dark places, who show up just when we need them.

we’re turning our attention not just to the women whose names are etched in stone, but to the quiet fighters—the survivors, the healers...

We pause to reflect on the unseen battle many women face daily—not against the world, but within themselves. That silent enemy is fear.

The ability to stand alone, even when the world turns away, is a defining characteristic of strong women.

We celebrate the strength of women, the necessity of trust, and the power of unity in the face of adversity. 

History has shown that when evil is left unchecked, it grows—but justice, even if delayed, always finds its way.

We will explore how faith, resilience, + the refusal to surrender to fear have been central to both S.O.L.A.D.™ and Black History.

On this 12th day of Black History Month, we reflect on the importance of preparation, resilience, and the long journey toward victory.
