Today marks a powerful moment in my journey. It is the 23rd day of International Black Women’s History Month, and it is also my 200th official Tony Post. That’s right—200 posts of faith, fire, and unwavering purpose. Over these 200 entries, I’ve poured out pieces of my heart, told the stories God gave me, and used my platform to shine a light on spiritual truth and the undeniable strength of Black women. With today’s post, I go even deeper.

Today’s theme is a quiet storm of truth: Momentum matters. Writing is a journey of bursts and blocks, of flow and friction. But in the in-between, in the small daily steps—momentum keeps you moving forward.

For far too long, Black women have been fed a dangerous lie. A lie so insidious that it’s often passed down, internalized, and masked in applause: “You are only as valuable as what you can produce, provide, or perform.” But the truth is this: God never required you to earn what He’s already declared.

On this Resurrection Sunday, as we celebrate the risen Savior, we also pause to reflect on the rising of His daughters, particularly the bold, faithful, and resilient Black women who carry resurrection power in their spirits every day.

When you think of “Power Girl,” you might think of Kryptonian strength, flying fists, and world-shaking heroics. But in the world of DC Comics, there’s a second Power Girl — a brilliant, gifted, and groundbreaking Black teenage genius who took the name and made it her own: Tanya Spears.

On this sacred day, we explore a profound truth: the favor of sacrifice—how both divinity and humanity are revealed through the willingness to give everything for the sake of others.

For the 17th day of International Black Women’s History Month, I am turning the spotlight to a masterpiece that has touched generations of readers and viewers alike: The Women of Brewster Place. Both a groundbreaking novel by Gloria Naylor and a television miniseries starring Oprah Winfrey, this story is a deeply moving portrayal of Black women’s lives, interconnected struggles, and unyielding strength.

On the 16th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we don’t just honor strength, resilience, or success—we confront what threatens to destroy it.

Today’s message is one that every writer—especially those walking in faith, purpose, and creative fire—needs tattooed on their heart: Rejection is not the end. It’s divine redirection.

There is something sacred, something powerful, and something holy about a Black woman who keeps showing up.

On this 13th day of International Black Women’s History Month, we honor a divine truth: when a Black woman walks in the boldness of Christ, she becomes unstoppable.
